Lebanon
is much appreciated for its cuisine, which is among the most varied
and savory in the world. Though the national cuisine has much in common
with other Eastern Mediterranean countries, it has its own typical
flavours and variety.
The most renowned specialty served is the mezzeh, a large assortment
of cold and hot dishes served as hors d'oeuvres with the local anise-flavoured
spirit '"arak", and the tabbouleh widely enjoyed by the
fin gourmets. Lebanese restaurants have an identity of their own through
the food they serve,
the interior design, the service, the music, etc... |

Thanks
to Lebanon's varied geography, opportunities for indoor and outdoor
activities abound. Lebanon is one of the few winter sport centers
in the Middle East and certainly the most extensive, with its six
winter resorts varying from 1,740 m to 2,300 m height.
It takes little more than an hour to reach the snow-covered mountains.
It almost never rains between June and October. Therefore, water sports
of all kinds are available most of the year.
Along the Lebanese coast, are many resort complexes, beaches, swimming
clubs with all kind of aquatic activities.
For those who appreciate horse racing, they will enjoy Beirut race
track. And for the golfers, Beirut Golf club is open to foreign visitors.
